Biax & Fiberfilm sign agreement for meltblown lines

The Troisdorf-based German company Reifenhäuser REICOFIL and the Greenville, WI-based US-American company Biax-Fiberfilm signed a cooperation agreement for meltblown lines.

Under the agreement, REICOFIL shall have the exclusive right to integrate the Biax technology in their spunmelt lines and distribute standalone systems lines in Europe, South America and Africa. Biax-Fiberfilm, jointly with its distribution partners, shall be responsible for selling standalone meltblown lines in the USA and Far East.

With the new agreement, Biax-Fiberfilm and REICOFIL continue their cooperation started at INDEX in Geneva in 2008. Here, both companies had initially agreed on a joint development of a Lyocell meltblown line for the production of bio-degradable nonwoven fabric.
